Six months ago I started planning the trip I've wanted to build for a long time — one that came together after traveling through South America myself. Today it's finally here — and I could not be more excited to share it with you.

South America. 10 days. 3 countries. January 15–24, 2027.

South America is one of those destinations that sits on nearly every list — and never quite gets booked. And I get it. Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, and Rio de Janeiro are three completely different cities across two countries, with domestic flights, border crossings, Portuguese and Spanish, and enough logistics to make a well-traveled person's head spin.

So I built the trip that removes every single one of those obstacles. You show up. I handle everything else.

And this is not the standard South America circuit. This itinerary goes deep — into gaucho culture, into Rio's samba scene, inside the largest favela in South America, behind the scenes of Carnival, and into a gay-owned estancia that most international travelers never find. Three countries. Four UNESCO World Heritage Sites. And a send-off dinner at one of the top 10 bars in the world.

Here's What Makes This Trip Truly Special:

🕺 Gay culture woven into every stop — not added as an afterthought​
A private tango lesson with a gay male instructor, followed by dinner and a full tango show. A full day at a gay-owned estancia in the Argentine countryside. A hotel in Rio minutes from Ipanema's Posto 9 — the most celebrated gay beach in South America. This trip is built with our community in mind from Day 1 through Day 10, not just rainbow-flagged at the end.

🍽️ Cultural immersion at a level most tours don't reach​
A private Argentine cooking class where you actually make the food and sit down to eat it together. A visit behind the scenes of a Rio samba school — try on Carnival costumes, learn the steps with a local dancer, have a Caipirinha. A guided tour inside Rocinha, South America's largest favela, with a specialist who has deep community relationships. Gaucho traditions at a ranch two hours outside Buenos Aires. A full day by ferry in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay — a UNESCO World Heritage city that adds a third country to the trip. This is the version of South America that takes years to piece together on your own.

Most tours do one side. We do both. Two full days at one of the most powerful natural wonders on Earth — the Argentine trails, the Devil's Throat, the Great Adventure boat ride into the base of the falls, and then the sweeping Brazilian panoramic view the next morning. Doing it halfway isn't really doing it at all.

☀️ Southern Hemisphere summer — in January​
While everyone back home is buried in winter, you'll be in Buenos Aires on a warm January night with the city fully alive at midnight, and in Rio where the beaches are packed and the energy is electric. The timing is not an accident. And if you want to extend a day or two after the trip ends — our last day is a Sunday, and Sunday at Ipanema's gay beach is something you don't want to miss.

👥 Maximum 12 travelers — exclusively gay men​
This is a small group by design. You'll know everyone's name by Day 2. Friendships form on these trips that last well beyond the itinerary — and this community is what makes every Pivot Trip worth showing up for.

✈️ Every detail handled​

This is the first 2027 trip I'm releasing — and there are more coming. But this one is where the year starts, and I wanted to give it the attention it deserves.

We're capped at 12 travelers. I already have strong interest from past travelers. That's not a marketing line — that's the size that makes this kind of trip work. Once those spots are filled, that's it.

January in South America is peak summer season, which means the best version of both Buenos Aires and Rio. The earlier you get in, the better your international flight options and pricing.
